WRLI Announces IDI Pilot Program
Thanks to support from the York County Community Foundation, the White Rose Leadership Institute (WRLI) will be offering the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) to all York Federal Fellows with the purpose of establishing a baseline of intercultural competence among the York County nonprofit community and to develop an Intercultural Development plan that provides a blueprint for developing cultural proficiency.
The Introductory Session to the IDI was recorded and can be viewed here.
Once requested, all York Federal Fellows will receive their personalized link to complete the IDI Assessment. The deadline to complete your Assessment is Thursday, June 30.
Meagan Given, the WRLI Executive Director and an IDI Qualified Administrator, will then offer a Group Debrief Presentation on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 9:00am via Zoom (register to attend) and will schedule individual debriefs with each Fellow in the month of August to discuss individual IDI results.
What's the Purpose of the IDI?
Understand the developmental stages of intercultural sensitivity through which people move towards greater intercultural effectiveness
Increase self-awareness for each individual respondent and identify issues that may be impeding development
Increase organization-level understanding of intercultural issues
Determine training and educational needs
Evaluate the effectiveness of training, counseling and education endeavors
Improve the intercultural skills of respondents
Prepare to enter a new culture, such as a multinational environment, a new country, or a domestic situation with cultural diversity
Identify training and education needs of client populations
The White Rose Leadership Institute is excited to pilot this program through the York Federal Fellows and to move forward, together, in growing our shared intercultural competence in York County! Thank you to the York County Community Foundation for their support of this pilot program.
